Weird Tape Effect (by TheFarmacyMan)

Scotch tape makes frosted glass transparent.

There is actually a very simple explanation for why this is possible, though. The surface of frosted glass is etched so that when it is struck by light, the light is scattered and any images viewed through the glass become distorted and largely indistinguishable. Placing tape upon the surface of the glass fills in its irregularities and allows the light to pass through with much less scattering!
